Our Better Living Programs are available to support eligible members towards a healthier lifestyle. Each Better Living Program is subject to its own eligibility criteria.

Here's how we define dependents:

Dependant child

A person who is a child of a policy holder, under the age of 18, and does not have a partner. Can be on any Family or Sole Parent cover.

Student dependant

A person who is the child of a policy holder, provided the student does not have a partner, is at least 18 but under 31, and is studying full-time at a school, college, or university, or a first or second year apprentice.

A student dependant can be on any Family or Sole Parent cover at no additional cost. To do this, you must declare the student status of your dependant annually. Simply log in to the Member Centre and select ‘Student Declaration’ under the ’My Account’ tab, and follow the instructions.

Non-student dependant

A child of a policy holder, provided the child does not have a partner, is at least 18 but under 31, and is not a full-time student at a school, college, or university, or a first or second year apprentice. Non-student dependants can be included on all available covers at an increased premium.
